Because authentic Mashri silk combines fine silk warp with a cotton weft, proper care is essential to maintain its sheen and texture: Dry Clean Only: To preserve the rich luster, vibrant dye, and fabric integrity, dry cleaning is strictly recommended. Do Not Soak or Machine Wash: Never submerge the saree in water or use standard household detergents. Ironing Guidelines: Always iron on the reverse (cotton) side at a low temperature setting (Silk setting). Using a steam iron with a protective cloth is ideal. Storage: Store the saree wrapped in a soft muslin cloth or cotton saree cover in a cool, dry place. Avoid using plastic covers. Sunlight Protection: Keep away from direct sunlight when airing it out to prevent color fading.
